TTA Tolyltriazole
TTA Tolyltriazole is hygroscopic, poorly soluble in water, soluble in alcohols, benzene, toluene, chloroform, and other organic solvents, and can also dissolve in dilute alkaline solutions.
TTA can be used as a rust inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor for non-ferrous metals (such as silver, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, etc.), primarily for copper and copper alloys, and it also has a corrosion-inhibiting effect on ferrous metals. TTA adsorbs onto metal surfaces to form a thin protective film, shielding copper and other metals from corrosion by harmful agents in the atmosphere and water. Its film formation is more uniform, and its effectiveness is enhanced when used in combination with sodium mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT·Na).
